Job summary

TalentClout is seeking an EDM Machine Operator for a contract role in a high-precision manufacturing environment. You will operate RAM EDM and Wire EDM to produce precision components to engineering drawings, setting up and monitoring processes to meet exact specifications.

Qualifications

Experience operating RAM EDM and Wire EDM in a production or job-shop setting.
Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Knowledge of machining tolerances, surface finishes, and shop math.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor RAM EDM and Wire EDM machines to manufacture precision components to engineering drawings.
Adjust machine settings, tooling, and fixtures to optimize cutting conditions, accuracy, and productivity.
Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to determine machining sequences, dimensions, and tolerances.
Perform in-process and final inspections using appropriate measuring tools to verify parts meet quality specifications.
Conduct routine machine checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshoot minor issues to minimize downtime.
Safely operate overhead cranes to move raw materials, workpieces, and tooling in and out of machines.
Record production data, maintain job documentation, and communicate any deviations or issues to supervisors.
Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve dimensional or process issues and implement improvements.
