Ridgemont Resources, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Columbia, MD. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

The role supports blood collection, specimen labeling, and processing in a fast-paced setting, with additional duties such as data recording and workflow improvement. Qualified candidates have 2 years of phlebotomy experience, pediatric and geriatric exposure, and a valid state phlebotomy certification.

Competenze

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture and other specimen collection processes to patients and families.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Follow physician orders and match requisitions to tubes and labels.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
