Job summary

RRC Solutions Group is seeking a skilled phlebotomist for a contract role in Columbus, GA, with potential to go permanent.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate maintenance records; you will explain procedures to patients and ensure specimen integrity while complying with OSHA and state regulations. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30a-5:30p; projected duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement; benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain chain of custody.
• Record maintenance data and monitor testing orders.
• Ensure OSHA and DEP regulations are followed.
• Attend annual department trainings.
