Job summary

Joseph Michaels International in Columbus, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and accurate data recording.

Required are at least 3 years of phlebotomy experience and a valid phlebotomy certification; on-site work with a 8:30am-5:30pm schedule, may float to other locations as needed. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens and centrifuging specimens.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information.
• Collect and store specimens per procedures; explain venipuncture process.
• Package specimens for transport; label, centrifuge, and freeze as required.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings; answer inquiries.
