Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens with proper labeling.
• Document maintenance data and ensure proper sample handling.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match lab requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package and transport specimens following protocol and temperature requirements.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
