Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, labeling, centrifuging and decontamination per procedures
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients
• Label and handle specimens, ensure matching requisitions; transport as required
• Maintain specimen integrity by following temperature and transport guidelines
• Attend annual department trainings and keep up-to-date with OSHA/DEP regulations
