• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain the venipuncture procedure clearly to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and maintain sample integrity.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and attend annual trainings.
