Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by the state.
• Minimum 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing assigned duties, troubleshoot, train, and improve workflow.
• Experience in blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, data entry, and decontamination.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and caregivers.
• Package and store specimens according to protocol and temperature requirements.
• Answer calls and review lab results to respond to inquiries.
