Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is hiring a Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity in Saint Petersburg, FL. The position supports specimen collection, labeling, centrifuging and record-keeping in a fast-paced clinical lab, with a Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm schedule.

Duration is approximately 3 months with potential for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will perform venipuncture, explain the procedure to patients, ensure OSHA/DEP compliant handling, and maintain accurate patient and test data.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required in the state.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Update patient information and manage specimen transport per protocol.
