Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state
• Minimum 5 years venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab/hospital settings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection with proper technique and labeling
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens according to test orders
• Record maintenance data and decontamination, update patient information
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and ensure specimen integrity
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures
• Comply with OSHA regulations and participate in annual trainings
