Qualifications

Phlebotomy certification valid for the state of employment.
At least 5 years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Experience drawing blood, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.
Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
Ensure test requisitions match specimens and prepare for transport.
Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
Answer phone calls and relay laboratory results as required.
