Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist in Columbus, GA for a contract role with a potential path to permanent placement. Typical duties include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and data entry, with adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations. Schedule is M-F 8:30am-5:30pm; may float to other locations as needed.

Duration projects at 3 months with potential for permanent hire. Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification as required by state;

Qualifications

• Proven venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Familiarity with labeling, specimen processing, and data recording.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and proper specimen labeling.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and maintain specimen integrity.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients and families.
• Package and transport specimens according to protocol.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of requisitions and labels.
