Job summary

Henderson Group in Greer, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist to support blood collection and specimen processing. The role involves performing blood draws, labeling and handling specimens, and following established lab procedures, with attention to patient communication and safety.

The candidate will work M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in a contract-to-perm opportunity, with expected duration around 3 months and potential for permanent placement. Certification and basic office software skills are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and temperature control.
