Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Charlotte, NC for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire. Schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon-Fri. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, and maintaining patient and test records.

Requires a valid Phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, plus a High School Diploma/GED. Proficiency with MS Office is preferred; OSHA/DEP compliance training expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrates technique with straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and prepares samples for transport.
