Job summary

This contract role offers immediate start and 32 hours per week, working closely with certified teachers to foster student growth and development. You will assist with individualized education plans, support academic, social, and emotional development, and document progress while communicating observations with teachers and specialists.

Qualifications

• Valid GAPSC Paraprofessional Certificate is required.
• Experience supporting students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) is valued though not required.
• Strong teamwork abilities and a proactive approach to dynamic school settings.
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate demeanor toward students.
• Flexibility to respond to changing classroom needs and support various instructional activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized education plans and classroom activities as directed by certified teachers.
• Encourage academic, social, and emotional development of students through direct engagement and support.
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to help students meet learning goals.
• Collaborate with faculty to maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive classroom environment.
• Document student progress and communicate observations with teachers and specialists.
