Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer for a five-month contract in Sunnyvale, CA. The role focuses on maintaining and updating existing mechanical designs, drawings, and TLA BOMs within an established hardware environment.

The ideal candidate will manage engineering changes, maintain documentation accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement required updates. This is an on-site contract with weekly pay and benefits coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience supporting mechanical designs for complex hardware.
• Experience creating and revising mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support existing power rack designs across multiple hardware platforms.
• Make updates and revisions to existing mechanical designs.
• Create, revise, and maintain mechanical drawings and related engineering documentation.
• Maintain and update top-level assembly (TLA) bills of materials (BOMs).
• Process engineering changes and maintain accurate revision control.
• Manage design and documentation updates within Arena/PDM.
• Ensure drawings, BOMs, and product documentation remain accurate and consistent.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to implement required changes.
• Support documentation and knowledge transfer during transition periods.
