Job summary

City of Mesa is seeking a Contract Supervisor in the Facilities Management Department, full-time, to manage service and material contracts citywide. You will draft contracts, guide bid processes with the Purchasing Department, and lead contractors to meet city expectations.

This role emphasizes cost control, compliance, and collaboration with facilities and parks teams. The incumbent will supervise Landscape Coordinators and Contract Specialists, oversee budgets, and provide training on contract

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in service contract administration or inspection.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role or oversight of contractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management of city service and material contracts (e.g., landscape maintenance, HVAC maintenance).
• Draft, edit, and review contracts; coordinate with Purchasing on bid specs and awards.
• Lead contractors on scope of work; assess performance and resolve issues.
• Conduct market research and forecast costs to stay within budgets.
• Perform site visits and contract compliance audits; evaluate in-house vs. contract work.
