Job summary

City of Mesa is seeking a Parks Maintenance Supervisor to oversee Riverview Park, Hohokam Stadium, Fitch Park, and other facilities. The role includes planning and supervising maintenance, minor construction, and repairs across grounds, irrigation, and athletic facilities.

The position requires supervising staff, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and city standards. Strong knowledge of CMMS, SCADA, and GIS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Parks Management, Horticulture, Resources Management, Landscape Horticulture, Architecture, Landscape Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in parks facilities maintenance or related contract administration.
• Supervisory or lead experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee daily program operations for Riverview Park, Hohokam Stadium, Fitch Park, stadium grounds, and related areas.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, instruct, and evaluate work of staff and volunteers.
• Oversee maintenance, minor construction, and repair of park grounds, irrigation systems, and related assets.
• Administer contracts, monitor compliance, and coordinate with private contractors.
• Maintain liaison with recreation programming and City staff to balance maintenance and programming.
