Job summary

Customer.io is seeking a Contract IT Specialist to join a globally distributed IT team in a fully remote, SaaS-first environment. The role is hands-on and full-time with hours 8am–5pm, offering potential path to full-time conversion based on performance and business needs.

You will handle tier 1–2 IT support, onboarding/offboarding, IAM tasks (provisioning, SSO, RBAC), MDM management, and compliance requests (SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA) while documenting processes and collaborating across People,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT support, systems administration, or IT operations.
• Hands-on experience with MDM solutions (Kandji, Jamf, Intune or similar).
• Experience with identity and access management (Okta or similar), SSO, and RBAC.
• Comfort using scripting or workflow tools to automate tasks.
• Strong macOS troubleshooting; Windows a plus.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tier 1–2 IT support across hardware, software, SaaS apps, and remote connectivity.
• Support employee lifecycle workflows (onboarding, offboarding, role changes).
• Maintain identity and access management tasks — provisioning, SSO, groups and roles.
• Keep device fleet healthy via MDM—patching, endpoint protection, configuration.
• Respond to SOC 2, ISO, and HIPAA compliance requests with evidence collection.
• Maintain operational documentation and collaborate across People, Security, and Engineering.
