Job summary

Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union seeks a temporary Human Resources Policy Specialist to lead a comprehensive review and reorganization of the employee handbook and HR policies. You will ensure alignment with current federal, state, and local employment laws, standardize formatting, and collaborate with leadership and outside counsel.

The role requires independent judgment, policy drafting skills, and experience with ADP WF N and policy management platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Five or more years of progressive HR experience with policy writing or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state/local employment laws, especially CA.

Responsibilities

• Audit the employee handbook and HR policies for outdated or non-compliant content.
• Rewrite and reorganize the handbook for clarity and consistency.
• Update policies to align with federal, state, and local law, including PTO/leave and remote work.
• Flag legal/regulatory risks and coordinate with leadership and outside counsel.
• Draft new policies to address identified gaps and maintain version control.
• Collaborate with ADP partners on handbook builder and policy management.
