Job summary

WorkGenius Group is seeking an HR Operations Specialist in Santa Monica, CA. The role focuses on managing HR administrative tasks, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and offboarding while ensuring accurate records across HR systems.

You will support complex HR processes, act as a subject matter expert for HR Service Center functions, and contribute to SOP creation and process improvements with junior coordinators. This is an on-site 2-month engagement in gaming.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, administrative functions, and shared-services operations.
• Experience with Workday, Greenhouse, ServiceNow, and multiple HR functions in an HR operations environment.
• Excellent customer service, communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, organization, and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail, operational accuracy, independence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex employee inquiries.
• Experience creating SOPs, identifying process improvements, and training or guiding junior HR team members; SHRM-CP, PHR, or another relevant HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage HR administrative tasks and employee inquiries across onboarding, employee data management, payroll, benefits, and offboarding.
• Support complex HR processes and transactions across Centers of Excellence and serve as a subject matter expert for assigned HR Service Center processes.
• Maintain accurate employee records across HR systems and create, maintain, and update SOPs and process documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex employee questions, determine appropriate resolutions or escalations, and partner with internal HR stakeholders to ensure timely process completion.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and provide training and guidance to HR Coordinators to support consistent, high-quality service delivery.
