Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking an entry to mid-level Financial & Accounting Outsourcing Staff to support projects across FAR, CAS, DFARS, and Uniform Guidance compliance. You will work with Partners and clients on contract management, pricing, risk assessments, and internal control improvements.

You will gain exposure to grant management, cost analysis, and Excel-based data modeling while pursuing CPA/CIA designations in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Eagerness to develop the knowledge to audit and/or advise companies on compliance related issues relevant to FAR, CAS, Uniform Guidance, DFARS or other applicable Federal regulations
• Interest in Grant or Contract Management/Administration processes and the impact of accounting and information systems on key business transactions
• Developing a solid understanding of accounting standards (US GAAP)
• Curiosity about business operations and the impact of internal accounting and IT general controls
• Capable of working in a demanding, deadline driven environment with a focus on details
• Willingness to pursue relevant professional designations such as CPA or CIA

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Partners, Managers, Associates and our clients on the following types of projects: Compliance and Gap Assessments (FAR, DFARS, CAS, etc.)
• Provide contract and grant management support
• Analyze clauses and terms & conditions for solicitations and contract awards for clients
• Conduct subcontractor evaluations for clients
• Assist with contract modifications
• Assist with contract pricing and estimating
• Conduct Cost & Price Analysis
• Assist with Conduct walkthroughs and assist with developing processes, policies and procedures
• Assist with contract close outs
• Support and lead consulting and audit engagements to help clients in various industries manage risks to their internal control environments
• Provide training to clients
• Conduct Excel modeling and data analysis
