Job summary

ProCare Therapy in New York seeks a contract Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary-aged students in a school-based setting near Schenectady. This fall assignment runs September 8 to December 23, with a 35-hour workweek and collaboration with educators and families to promote communication growth.

The role requires a Master’s in SLP, NY licensure eligibility, CCC/CFY, and experience with IEP processes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current or eligible for NY state SLP licensure.
• CCC or CFY status required.
• Experience with elementary school-aged children preferred.
• Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs.
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, maintaining accurate records.
• Promote language and communication proficiency that supports students’ educational success.
