Position Summary

Senior Level Contracts and Project Cost Management position reporting to the AVP of Facility Development and supporting Directors.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead the process with internal and external project managers with AIA contracts for design and construction management.
• Work with legal team on early Pre-Con contracts, amendments for early work, and final GMP contracts terms and conditions.
• Ensure the use of the most appropriate AIA contract formats for each project and keep formats updated.
• Provide early draft contracts for new RFPs to ensure compliance with PH contract terms and conditions.
• Extensive knowledge of GMP CM contracts, including cost negotiation and controls.
• Lead cost review efforts with change orders, contingencies, amendments, and ODP credits.
• Manage and engage in project cost auditing processes, including early general conditions, hourly rates, insurance, and bonds.
• Conduct mid-term and final project audits to ensure payment for actual costs only on GMP contracts.
• Assist project managers and senior project managers with project budgets, ROM budgeting, change order processes, and cost analysis.
• Maintain updated project unit and square foot cost figures for future budgeting based on historical costs.
• Assist with project schedules and CPM analysis impacting project completion.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with policies and standards.
• Ensure compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Construction Project Management, with extensive relevant experience. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel, eBuilder, CAD, estimating, P6 CPM schedule, and job cost accounting.
• Certifications such as CPA, CPE, PMP, MBA, or JD are beneficial but not required with sufficient experience.
• At least 15 years of experience in building contracts for major hospital and medical projects, with expertise in GMP contracts ranging from $5 million to $300 million.
• Excellent negotiation, people skills, and ability to work in a large team environment.
