Job summary

GreenWaste in San Jose, CA is seeking a Contract & Compliance Reporting Analyst who will manage reporting across municipal contracts, regulatory agencies, and internal teams. This role collects, validates, and analyzes data to ensure accuracy and timely submissions.

The ideal candidate has advanced Excel, Power BI, and SQL skills, plus 2+ years in reporting or compliance, and can communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, data validation, and reconciliation of large datasets.
• 2+ years of experience in reporting, compliance, data analytics, financial analysis, contract administration, or related fields.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work with a high sense of urgency while maintaining outstanding attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Power BI and SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain databases and records related to customers, materials, services, and other information necessary to support contractual and regulatory reporting.
• Collect, validate, reconcile, and analyze operational and financial data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Prepare and submit required material handling, processing, diversion, operational, and other reports to regulatory agencies and contracted city or county representatives.
• Review reporting data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable reporting requirements.
• Reconcile data between internal systems, operational records, customer information, and external databases to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Investigate reporting variances and work with internal departments to obtain clarification or make necessary corrections.
• Ensure contractual reporting requirements and deadlines are met accurately and timely.
• Communicate and coordinate with representatives of contracted cities, counties, consultants, and regulatory agencies regarding reporting questions, data requests, and ad hoc reviews.
• Assist internal departments with the implementation of reporting processes, procedures, and other contractual or regulatory requirements.
• Maintain organized records and supporting documentation for reporting and compliance purposes.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data accuracy, and efficiency.
