Job summary

GreenWaste is seeking a Contract & Compliance Reporting Analyst to support contractual, regulatory, operational, and financial reporting across the organization. The role ensures accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of reports to municipal contracts, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.

The position collects, validates, reconciles, and analyzes data from multiple sources, investigates discrepancies, and supports management reporting and financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel skills including pivots, lookups, data validation, and reconciliation of large datasets.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, ERP systems, route management systems, or other operational reporting platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience in reporting, compliance, data analytics, financial analysis, contract administration, business operations, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update databases and records for contractual and regulatory reporting.
  • Collect, validate, reconcile, and analyze operational and financial data from multiple sources.

We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Compliance Reporting Analyst to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 2540 N First Street in San Jose and limited job-related travel may be required.

Position Summary:

GreenWaste is seeking a Contract & Compliance Reporting Analyst to support contractual, regulatory, operational, and financial reporting requirements across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of reports required by municipal contracts, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders. The position collects, validates, reconciles, and analyzes data from multiple sources, investigates reporting discrepancies, and supports management reporting and financial analysis activities as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update databases and records related to customers, materials, services, and other information necessary to support contractual and regulatory reporting.
  • Collect, validate, reconcile, and analyze operational and financial data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Prepare and submit required material handling, processing, diversion, operational, and other reports to regulatory agencies and contracted city or county representatives.
  • Review reporting data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable reporting requirements.
  • Reconcile data between internal systems, operational records, customer information, and external databases to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigate reporting variances and work with internal departments to obtain clarification or make necessary corrections.li>
  • Ensure contractual reporting requirements and deadlines are met accurately and timely.
  • Communicate and coordinate with representatives of contracted cities, counties, consultants, and regulatory agencies regarding reporting questions, data requests, and ad hoc reviews.
  • Assist internal departments with the implementation of reporting processes, procedures, and other contractual or regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, data validation, and reconciliation of large datasets. Experience with Power BI, SQL, ERP systems, route management systems, or other operational reporting platforms preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in reporting, compliance, data analytics, financial analysis, contract administration, business operations, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with a high sense of urgency while maintaining outstanding attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Power BI and SQL is a plus
Language Skill:
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to describe items in both a technical and layman manner
Physical Demands:
  • Work on a computer for extended periods of time.

Typical work week is Monday through Friday. Primary work will be in an office setting, with occasional visits to site locations where exposure to inclement weather and various odors is possible.
