Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. seeks a contract closeout specialist to support DCAA/DCMA aligned activities, document drafting, and closeout processes. You will coordinate with auditors, finance teams, and the contracting officer to move contracts to final closeout efficiently.

The role emphasizes analyzing cost/firm-fixed-price contracts, producing release letters, and ensuring compliance across distinct government programs and systems.

Qualifications

• Min 2 years contract closeout experience.
• Ability to assist the Contracting Officer with complex cost/firm-fixed-price contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a contractor release of claims letter and coordinate with the Contracting Officer and appropriate business/vendor.
• Able to interpret, analyze, and summarize DCAA reports and track audit status with DCMA.
• Draft DD Form 1594 closeout documents and de-obligation modifications for contract closeout.
• Verify completion of contracts using MOCAS, IAPS, EDA, and DFAS systems.

Job description

• Prepare a contractor release of claims letter and coordinate with the Contracting Officer and appropriate business/vendor
• Able to interpret, analyze, and summarize Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) reports without Government instruction or training. Track Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit status, coordinate with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA),
• Able to draft DD Form 1594 closeout documents, de-obligation modifications in the Government contract writing system and any other document deemed necessary for contract closeout.
• Must have familiarity with Mechanization of Contract Administration Services (MOCAS), Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS), Electronic Data Access (EDA), and Air Force contract program writing systems to verify completion of contracts, and working with Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS)

Qualifications

Min 2 years contract closeout experience. M ust be able to assist the Contracting Officer in analyzing closeout information of highly complex cost/firm fixed price contracts.
