Job summary

Godshall Recruiting is seeking a Contract Cash Application Specialist in the United States, South Carolina. The role focuses on uploading and reconciling daily bank activity, applying incoming cash receipts, and supporting payment accuracy across AR/AP teams.

You will process refunds and write-offs, prepare cash application reports, and contribute to month-end close while upholding strong internal controls and process improvements within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis functions.
• Experience working in a high-volume transactional accounting, cash application, or treasury environment preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience with SAP and multinational business environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Upload and reconcile daily bank activity, ensuring all cash transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger.
• Research, analyze, and apply incoming cash receipts to customer accounts while resolving unapplied cash items.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Accounting teams to reconcile discrepancies and support payment accuracy.
• Process refunds, recoveries, write-offs, and other cash-related transactions in accordance with company procedures.
• Prepare cash application reports and support month-end close activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Maintain strong internal controls and participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
