The ideal candidate has 5+ years of AP management experience, advanced Excel skills, and a proven ability to optimize workflows in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct Accounts Payable management experience.
• Proven experience leading an AP team.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, controls and payment operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the AP team.
• Establish priorities, workflows and performance expectations.
• Review AP aging, payment activity and outstanding issues.
• Identify and resolve process inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Provide guidance, coaching and performance management to AP staff.
• Address complex vendor and internal stakeholder issues.
• Oversee payment processes and internal controls.
• Support month-end close activities.
• Evaluate systems and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Partner with Accounting and other internal departments.
• Document procedures and strengthen departmental processes.
• Provide leadership with updates on priorities, risks and departmental performance.
• Remain hands-on and assist with AP activities when needed.
