Job description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support a high-priority, schedule-driven capital construction project. This position will be responsible for administering prime contract obligations and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, milestones, deliverables, documentation, and reporting requirements.

The Contract Administrator will work closely with project leadership, project controls, legal, engineering/construction teams, owner representatives, and other key stakeholders throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and track prime contract obligations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, milestones, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate contract performance reporting, schedule submittals, certifications, and other required project deliverables.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for contract-related correspondence and formal communications between project stakeholders and owner representatives.
  • Maintain contract deliverables matrices and tracking systems to ensure timely submission of required reports, plans, certifications, and supporting documentation.
  • Review and interpret contract terms and communicate requirements to project teams, including obligations associated with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and service providers.
  • Track and administer RFIs, submittals, correspondence, notices, and contract records, maintaining complete and defensible project documentation.
  • Support the identification, preparation, pricing, documentation, and negotiation of contract modifications, change orders, and equitable adjustments in coordination with Project Controls, Legal, and project leadership.
  • Participate in project schedule reviews and identify contractual risks associated with construction milestones, schedule performance, and potential liquidated damages exposure.
  • Monitor contract performance and proactively identify compliance concerns, commercial risks, and opportunities for mitigation.
  • Support contract closeout, including final invoice reconciliation, lien releases, demobilization verification, closeout certifications, and required documentation.
Qualifications
  • Experience in contract administration, contract management, commercial management, or project controls supporting major construction, infrastructure, energy, industrial, or other capital projects.
  • Strong experience reviewing and interpreting complex contracts and contractual requirements.
  • Experience administering change orders, contract modifications, RFIs, submittals, claims/equitable adjustments, and formal project correspondence.
  • Understanding of EPC/construction project execution, project schedules, milestones, and commercial risk.
  • Ability to maintain accurate, organized, and defensible contract documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work across project management, legal, engineering, construction, and project controls teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with aggressive project schedules.
Preferred Background

Experience supporting large-scale energy, utility, infrastructure, industrial, or EPC construction projects is highly desirable.
