Job summary

KPM Property Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a contracted 3–5 month assignment in Houston, TX. The role focuses on high-volume utility payments, vendor invoice processing, and daily banking, with possible conversion to a permanent position based on performance.

You will support a large portfolio of multifamily and commercial properties, handling end-to-end processes and ensuring accuracy in payments and reconciliations. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment.
• Hands-on experience initiating wires and ACH payments through commercial bank portals (Chase, Wells Fargo, Truist, Regions, or similar).
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume utility payments and monitor balances.
• Initiate and release wires and ACH payments via bank portals.
• Code, enter, and route vendor invoices; match to POs and contracts.
• Maintain vendor master records and respond to inquiries.
• Support daily cash positioning and payment batching.
• Run aged payables reports and assist month-end close.
• Follow dual-control requirements and document unusual activity.
