Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Accounting Data Analyst (Contractor) in Chicago for a 3–6 month engagement. The role focuses on data-based analysis to support the Accounting Team, including daily schedules, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting with collaboration across departments.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in accounting or data analysis, strong data literacy, Excel and Power BI skills, and excellent communication to present insights to stakeholders. Hybrid work arrangement applies.

Qualifications

• Requires foundational data literacy and ability to interpret charts, tables, and KPIs.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using Excel and Power BI.
• Strong organization and a high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, with ability to translate data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• 1-3 years accounting or data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to improve report generation processes.
• Develop new analytic initiatives to support department objectives.
• Identify, source, enhance and manage financial data.
• Prepare daily spreadsheets for asset segregation reports and analysis.
• Prepare daily and monthly account reconciliation.
• Assist in preparing daily, monthly, and annual regulatory requirements.
• Assist with data gathering during audits.
• Prepare revenue and expense analysis and accruals.
