• Advanced data manipulation skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Power Query, or SQL).
• Hands-on experience with Workday Financials is a strong advantage; large ERP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform variance analysis on monthly financial statements, identifying anomalies and investigating root causes.
• Analyze complex balance sheet reconciliations and high-volume transactional data to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Collaborate with FP&A and business leaders to translate accounting data into actionable operational insights.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Perform variance analysis on monthly financial statements, identifying anomalies and investigating root causes.
• Analyze complex balance sheet reconciliations and high-volume transactional data to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Collaborate with FP&A and business headers to translate accounting data into actionable operational insights.

Core Accounting & Month-End Close

• Lead key areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and complex revenue recognition tracking.

Process Optimization & Systems

• Leverage Workday (or current ERP) to automate manual accounting workflows and improve data accuracy.
• Evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements to streamline reporting cycles.
• Assist with audit preparation by constructing analytical schedules and pulling key support documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a background in corporate accounting or public accounting.
• Analytical Muscle: Advanced data manipulation skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Power Query, or SQL). You enjoy digging into large datasets to find discrepancies.
• Systems Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Workday Financials is a strong advantage. Large ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is required.
• Adaptability: A strong desire to join a contract-to-hire arrangement and hit the ground running in a hybrid environment.
