Job summary

Sage GroupHealthCare Staffing seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a travel contract in Llano, TX. The position is full-time, travel/contract, with a 13-week length. Start ASAP; shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Under supervision of PTs, you will treat patients, document progress, and collaborate to modify care. PTA license required; 2+ years experience required; LTC and travel experience preferred. Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for eligible travelers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years PTA experience required.
• LTC experience preferred.
• Prior travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of physical therapists, treat patients through exercise, gait and balance training, and other interventions.
• Record patients' progress and report results to the PT.
• Collaborate with PT to modify care as necessary.
• Assist the PT in treatment of individuals.
• Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups.
• Keep the PT area clean and organized.

Job Description:

• Under the direction and supervision of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions. They record patients' progress and report the results of each treatment to the physical therapist.
  
• Implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary.
