Job summary

Sage GroupHealthCare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a travel contract in Hamlin, TX. The position is full-time/contract/temporary with a 13-week term, and offers a $1,600 weekly gross pay based on a 40-hour work week.

Start date ASAP; license as PTA in the state or a Compact is required; LTC experience preferred and prior travel experience is a plus. Shifts are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with travel/housing stipends available for eligible travelers.

Qualifications

• PTA license in the applying state or a compact license is required.
• BLS certification is preferred.
• PTA experience of 2+ years is required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the physical therapist, administers treatments including exercise, gait and balance training, and other modalities.
• Document patient progress and report results to the PT.
• Assist the PT in treatments and patient care tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area.

Job Description:

• Under the direction and supervision of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions. They record patients' progress and report the results of each treatment to the physical therapist.
  
• Implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary.
  
• Assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals
  
• Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups
