Requirements

Daily subs must have a Bachelor's Degree or ED 174 approval listing experience working with children.
Daily substitute pay ratesare as follows:

New Substitutes: $128 per day ($138 per day if certified as a teacher by the State of CT)

After One Year of Experience: $133 per day

After Two Years of Experience: $138 per day

Farmington uses the online substitute placement system called Red Rover.
Sub assignments may be obtained via telephone, internet, or app.
Substitute positions for teachers and paraprofessionals are available.

Applicants approved as substitutes must be fingerprinted within 30 days of approval.
