Job summary

Roskam Foods seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives across our manufacturing network in Michigan. You will analyze processes, implement waste-reducing improvements, and coach teams to sustain gains.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in CI or process engineering, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and certifications in Lean/Six Sigma. We offer comprehensive benefits and a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or process engineering.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication abilities.
• Experience with CI tools such as value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, DMAIC, and PDCA.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools.
• Partner with business units to identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop actionable solutions to address performance gaps.
• Train and coach employees at all levels on CI methodologies and tools.
• Monitor and report on project outcomes, including cost savings, productivity gains, and quality improvements.
• Support the development and deployment of standard work, visual management, and performance metrics.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through engagement, communication, and recognition.
• Collaborate with leadership to align CI initiatives with strategic goals and KPIs.
• Maintain documentation and ensure sustainability of implemented improvements.
