Job summary

Bob Evans Farms, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager at the facility to lead Lean projects, drive cost reductions, and improve throughput.

You will collaborate with site leadership and cross-functional teams to implement CI/Lean tools, train staff, and sustain gains in production performance. Responsibilities include developing project plans, prioritizing initiatives, analyzing data, and ensuring safety and quality standards while maintaining GMPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial).
• Practical experience with implementation and sustaining of continuous improvement programs (i.e. Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Total Productive Manufacturing, statistical process control, etc.).
• Skill and experience in yield optimization & cost reduction, production efficiencies & quality improvements.
• Black Belt certification is preferred
• Working knowledge of manufacturing cost calculations, gathering production information/scheduling
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts
• Must be willing to attend off-site training
• Ability on a daily basis, walking, standing, crouching, lifting (25-35lbs), twisting, climbing, reaching

Responsibilities

• Lead Continuous Improvement/Lean projects at the facility, driving productivity and cost reductions.
• Work with site leadership using CI/Lean tools to prioritize and lead improvement activities.
• Facilitate cross-functional groups (Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D) to implement process improvements.
• Design and implement Lean strategies; develop CI project plans with management; define resources and milestones.
• Apply engineering principles to identify cost-effective food processing improvements and optimize current systems.
• Develop and deliver CI/Lean training on site; identify training needs and secure resources.
• Mentor plant leaders and teams to sustain culture change and CI methods.
• Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, and support capital project requests.
• Ensure GMP adherence, sanitary conditions, and product quality; report safety/quality concerns.
