Job Description

About the Role

The Continuous Improvement Manager will provide a full range of productivity services to Operations and lead cost reduction programs for the facility. Responsibilities include leading lean events, implementing Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) throughout the facility, developing and measuring facility systems, and delivering continuous improvement training programs. The role involves guiding best business practices in areas such as yield improvement, manpower utilization, overhead spend, capital utilization, indirect spend, plant utilization, efficiency, and working capital management for raw materials and finished goods.

This person will act as a coach for KHMS, lead the Site Steering Committee, and work closely with the KHMS Task Force to enhance process utilization and employee proficiency, ensuring business results are achieved. They will provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers, supervisors, and team leaders to help their teams understand and adopt KHMS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously improve productivity decks
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate initiatives across Supply Chain to optimize costs, including purchasing, distribution, manufacturing, R&D, packaging, and engineering
  • Implement and train MOS & Lean/Six Sigma processes
  • Participate in the QRMP audit and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions
  • Support the implementation of QRMP system and standards to achieve targeted RCR
  • Share best practice initiatives across Supply Chain
  • Coordinate the progression of KHMS using TRACC as a tool
  • Develop and maintain KPI visuals and tracking systems
  • Lead waste analysis for all lines
  • Coordinate plant-wide 5S initiatives
  • Manage the department's operating budget
  • Evaluate and develop the Continuous Improvement staff
  • Partner with business leaders on process improvement projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 2 years leading CI or transformation projects
  • Black Belt certification preferred; Green Belt required
  • Proven ability to overcome obstacles and meet project timelines
  • Creativeness and innovative thinking
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of enterprise business principles
  • Presentation, mentoring, and coaching skills
