Position Summary
As a part of the Enterprise Project Management Office, the Manager leads and manages a team of Continuous Improvement Consultants executing enterprise projects of high strategic priority and varying levels of complexity. The Manager serves as a coach and mentor for the EPMO team and beyond, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that our operations support the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach cross-functional teams to execute high-impact process improvement initiatives aligned with the hospital’s objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented team culture, emphasizing professional development, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee project execution by managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of assigned improvement efforts.
- Mentor Continuous Improvement Consultants, developing their expertise in Lean Six Sigma and other improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate across departments and with senior leadership to ensure alignment between process improvements, workflows, and technology systems.
- Drive strategic planning and prioritization, identifying opportunities to improve patient experience, staff workflows, and operational efficiency.
- Champion change management strategies, helping teams adopt new processes and sustain improvements over time.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively, including presenting data-driven reports and impact visualizations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Support recruitment, performance management, and team development, ensuring a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Model a continuous learning mindset, staying current on process improvement frameworks and advancing leadership skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, or related field is required.
- Master's Degree is preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience is required.
- 10 years in healthcare operations, project management, continuous improvement consulting, or applying lean six sigma tools in a complex organization with three years of experience leading teams or in a management role are preferred.
Certifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is required.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is preferred.
This position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring four days onsite per week.
