We are a growing food manufacturer based in a few areas across the US. We focus on a mix of food service, co-packing, and retail food items - with the main goal of providing delicious food. Our team is actively growing and looking for CI/Commercialization Manager to help us drive new products.
Position Overview
The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. This role focuses on implementing process improvements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring quality standards are met in all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and initiatives across the organization.
- Utilize methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing to analyze and improve processes.
- Conduct data analysis to identify areas for improvement and measure the effectiveness of implemented changes.
- Facilitate training sessions on continuous improvement tools and techniques for employees at all levels.
- Lead root cause analysis for operational issues and develop action plans to resolve them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic planning and change management efforts.
- Oversee quality management processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including GMP and HAACP.
- Manage the Value Stream Mapping process to optimize workflows and eliminate waste.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a continuous improvement role, preferably within the food manufacturing sector.
- Certifications in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or other relevant process improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic planning skills.
- Experience with change management and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Toyota Production System (TPS) and 5S methodologies is a plus.
