Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in New Albany, Ohio, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer (QECI) to support a project-wide program. You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and causal analysis to improve safety, quality, cost and schedule across engineering, procurement, construction and startup.

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–12 years of experience; Six Sigma Yellow Belt and strong data analytics, facilitation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with continuously improving engineering, procurement, construction, startup, operations work processes or optimizing complex industrial processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a project-wide continuous improvement program and risk-based strategy.
• Support CI team in performing Continuous Improvement tasks and facilitate workshops.
• Analyze data and develop performance metrics to measure improvements and drive CI activities.
• Lead causal analysis activities (RCAs – 5 Whys) and advance root-cause investigations.
• Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the project team and ensure improvements are institutionalized.
