Job summary

Bechtel's Manufacturing & Technology unit in Houston seeks a Lead Continuous Improvement professional to drive a project-wide CI program, align with PQM, and apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to raise efficiency, quality and value.

You will lead a CI team, develop metrics and dashboards, manage corrective actions, and facilitate workshops while collaborating with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Startup and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years of experience.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
• Experience leading continuous improvement in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Operations; optimizing complex processes.
• Experience supervising direct reports and driving measurable CI results.
• Strong leadership, communications, and influence skills to drive change; training in Kaizen/Lean and facilitation.
• Experience applying causal analysis techniques and data-driven problem-solving.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Support the PQM in developing a CI program and risk-based strategy to meet project goals.
• Manage and supervise a CI team; oversee continuous improvement activities.
• Manage the project's corrective action system and report on CI effectiveness.
• Communicate with functions to ensure CI goals are met and to drive improvements.
• Scope, plan, and select appropriate CI tools; analyze data and develop performance metrics.
• Develop and facilitate workshops and training on CI methods; promote best practices.
• Lead data-driven problem solving and root-cause analysis; monitor KPI dashboards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the project team.
