Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

  1. Value Stream Mapping processes, time studies, participating in Kaizen events, establishing Standard Work, audits/Gemba Walks, develop: PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, and Job Element Sheets, conducting root cause analysis using 5-Why, Cause & Effect Diagram, A3 tools, New Product Introduction (NPI) validation, creating test validation plans, Gauge Studies, and perform statistical analysis.
  2. Basic knowledge in the use of voice of the customer information. Uses problem solving tools (5-Why, Logic Tree, Cause & Effect diagram, A3, etc.) to determine root cause analysis and derive countermeasures.
  3. Works on continuous improvement within business processes, new product development projects, supplier improvement efforts, &/or customer/product issues of basic scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review on a variety of factors.
  4. Supporting the implementation of lean manufacturing to continually improve the processes.
  5. Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or experience.
  6. Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  7. Exchanges straightforward information, asks questions, and checks for understanding. Positive attitude and willing to occasionally public speak.
  8. Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  9. Acquires an understanding of product and process within manufacturing.
  10. Capable of acquiring competency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel), Visio, Minitab and company ERP system.
  11. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  12. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  1. Bachelor’s degree in technical field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering) or equivalent experience.
  2. 0 - 3 years related experience and/or training.
  3. The successful candidate will have knowledge in Toyota Production Systems, mechanical &/or manufacturing processes, an understanding of drawings, specifications and standards, familiarity with machined parts and their manufacturing processes.
  4. A background of continuous improvement.
  5. Familiar with ISO-9000 &/or TS-16949 Quality System.
  6. Yellow Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  7. Has minimal experience in the application and use of lean principles and quality management tools.
