Continuous Improvement Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector, specifically within the automotive industry. Compensation: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve breakthrough performances in personnel, quality, material flow, and reduction of operational costs.
- Identify and engage key stakeholders for project team roles, ensuring commitment and active participation.
- Conduct and facilitate Six Sigma training for team members, enhancing their skills and understanding of process improvement.
- Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to measure, analyze, control, and improve project processes effectively.
- Provide regular project updates to leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with broader business goals.
- Develop detailed project plans that outline performance tracking and timely achievement of predefined quality and savings objectives.
- Proactively identify and mitigate barriers to project success, obtaining necessary support from project champions.
- Document process improvements and share insights and best practices with other teams and Black Belts within the organization.
- Propose new improvement projects by accurately identifying and describing potential opportunities to leadership.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a secure and safe working environment.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, with priority given to candidates with degrees focused on manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
- Recent and relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, automotive industry preferred.
- Strong competencies in communication, collaboration, and presentation essential for team and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to perform at high levels with keen attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong initiative to drive changes and exceed performance expectations consistently.
- A foundational understanding of statistical analysis applied to product and process improvement projects.
- Excellent analytical capabilities for complex problem-solving scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
- Advanced training or certifications related to continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean, TPM, or similar.
- Experience managing large-scale projects and driving significant change initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with the latest industry trends and technology advancements in manufacturing and process improvement.
- Proven track record of successful project management and tangible improvement metrics.
