Main Duties & Responsibilities
The Continuous Improvement Engineer position supports the implementation, standardization, and alignment of TriMas Operating System across Monogram Aerospace Fastener to improve costs, quality, and service quantitatively and qualitatively. Use Lean Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence. This role is involved in planning, scheduling, and implementing continuous improvement activities (such as Kaizen) on the production floor of a manufacturing facility. It involves constantly looking for ways to improve processes, products, and performance by identifying problems, implementing solutions, and measuring results.
Essential Functions
OTHER COMPETENCIES:
Leadership: Strong leadership, problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to organize and plan use of time and people effectively and efficiently.
Communication Proficiency: Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Problem Solving/Analysis: Offer solutions, make information available to maintain an open line between you and your team, take initiative, prioritize tasks, and set reasonable expectations.
Business Acumen: Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities. Create objectives that align with our goals. Establishing plan parameters, creating alternative plans, and evaluate potential outcomes.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel – Pivot tables and Vlookup), AutoCAD and Solid Works.
Compensation: The pay scale for this position ranges from $85,000-$105,000 annually.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Physical Demands: Alternate between sitting and standing, exposed to higher noise levels when on the manufacturing floor, occasionally lift 25-30 pounds.
