Job summary

Seattle City Light seeks a Continuous Improvement Analyst to lead organizational improvement initiatives and use structured problem-solving and data-driven decisions. You will enable reductions in lead times and improve customer experiences through cross-functional projects and Lean Six Sigma methods.

The role includes facilitating rapid improvement events, optimizing workflows, building dashboards, and integrating new applications to automate processes.

Qualifications

  • Two years in systems, operational, procedures, research or analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, finance, computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a dedicated continuous improvement work environment such as health care, construction, or manufacturing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing cross-functional improvement projects in a large, complex organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, visualization, and reporting for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and manage improvement initiatives: Design, facilitate, and manage rapid improvement events and structured problem-solving activities with diverse teams.
  • Process Optimization & Workflow Enhancement: Partner with business to identify pain points, conduct root cause analysis, and implement countermeasures; automate workflows.
  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data; develop KPIs, dashboards, reports and other visual tools.
  • Business Application Integration and Automation: Integrate new applications and leverage existing functionality to optimize processes.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across departments to drive coordinated improvements.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple improvement projects and sometimes serve as both Project Manager and Analyst.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Translate technical solutions into plain business language and foster adoption.
