Job summary

Seattle City Light in Seattle seeks a Continuous Improvement Analyst to lead organizational improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making. The role supports strategic priorities over the next ten years by reducing lead and cycle times for new electric service connections.

Qualifications

  • Two years in systems, operational, procedures, research or analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or related field or equivalent background.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, visualization, and reporting for diverse audiences.
  • Lean Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional improvement projects in a large organization.
  • Ability to learn and work with various data and business applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including translating technical concepts into business language.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and manage improvement initiatives: Design, facilitate, and manage rapid improvement events and structured problem-solving activities with diverse teams.
  • Process Optimization & Workflow Enhancement: Partner with business to identify pain points in processes, conduct root cause analysis, and test countermeasures.
  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data; develop KPIs, dashboards, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Business Application Integration and Automation: Integrate new applications into processes to support automation and streamline workflows.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across the utility and city departments to drive improvements.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple improvement projects aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Translate technical solutions into plain language and foster adoption.
