Job summary

PBS in the United States is seeking a Program Associate to support the General Audience content teams, reviewing and screening multi-platform content to ensure PBS standards and compliance. The role involves collaboration with Programming, Standards & Practices, and related teams to maintain compliance across genres.

The position requires strong writing, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year experience in media, broadcasting, film or journalism roles.
• Familiarity with PBS operations is preferred.
• Strong writing, organizational and deadline-driven skills.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review, screen and evaluate content for PBS Standards and Compliance.
• Collaborate with Programming, Standards & Practices and related teams to ensure compliance.
• Create and distribute station-facing reports with program timings and content details.
• Assess sensitive content and suggest revisions to program ratings as needed.
• Support department projects and special assignments as required.
