Job summary

PBS seeks a Program Associate to support the General Audience programming teams, reviewing and screening content for PBS standards and compliance. You will collaborate with Programming, Standards & Practices and related teams to ensure adherence to guidelines and to prepare station-facing reports with program timings.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in administration or production in the media industry; tv/film/journalism
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience
• Familiarity with PBS operations and procedures preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and writing skills; good program judgment
• Excellent communication and knowledge of public broadcasting

Responsibilities

• Review, Screen and Evaluate content for PBS Standards and Compliance
• Collaborate with Programming, Standards & Practices and related teams to attain compliance
• Create and distribute station-facing reports that include program timings and content information
• Assess sensitive content and recommend revisions to the program ratings as relevant
• Support Manager, Programming & Operations in department project needs, special projects and as needed
